whole body speed; i would sprint over relatively short distances and time how long it took to do them with a stop watch.
specificity; i would do shuttle runs about 20m apart, this would focus on my leg muscles. i would practise my technique to make sure it is most efficient.
progressive overload; as im working on speed, an anaerobic activity i will not need to use as much oxygen. my repititions will be short and my rests up to 4 times as long.
frequency/duration/intensity; i shall need to train about 3 times a week (if i train anymore i may injure myself) for about an hour or so each time. i will need to work at a high level of intensity for shorter periods. this will involve me running 80-90% of my full speed.

1. Flexibility – Sit and reach test. You sit down on the floor with your legs stretched out in front of you, you then reach out and see if you can reach your toes and if you cannot, see how far away from them you are and try to improve.
2. You have to keep doing stretches to stretch your muscles as far as they can go.

1)Cardiovascular Endurance.
You do the 12 miniute test, which means you continusely run for 12 miniutes non-stop.
2)You would train by going for a run for about 10 minutes to start off then you would gradually increase the amount of time you run for. This would help to improve and get better for the next test you take.
