Evaluating

bonus points, homework 12 Comments »

We have now moved on to the new topic of EVALUATING in PE.

Evaluating has 2 parts

  • Describing a perfromance – which means stating what you see.
  • Analysing a performance – which means studying the action closely to identify its good and bad points.

Leave a reply to this post –  describe a shot in badminton, giving a clear detailed desciption of how you perform the action. For example you could describe a high serve, or an overhead clear or a smash. Think about the following when describing the performance.

  • Body- Parts being used and the direction they move.
  • Order – In what order do these parts move.
  • Shape – what shape are the parts moved through (bent, straight, curled).
  • Speed – At what speed do the movements take place.

To be completed by Monday 3rd March. Any problems to access blog see Mr Imrie by Friday 29th February.

Next week - Monday- Athletics;  Tuesday – Gymnastics
